Yuki Kaji Voices Adult Toshiro Hitsugaya in BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War

An important name has joined the voice cast of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War. According to the official announcement of the production, the adult form of the 10th Division captain Toshiro Hitsugaya will be voiced by renowned voice artist Yuki Kaji. Kaji is one of the most recognized names in the anime world, especially for his roles as Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan, Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, and Meliodas in Seven Deadly Sins.
However, Romi Park, who has voiced young Toshiro since the beginning of the series, continues her role. The choice of a different actor for the adult form is notable in emphasizing the great transformation the character undergoes upon completing his Bankai. Manga readers will recall that this form appears in one of the most critical battles of Thousand-Year Blood War. Yuki Kaji's wide vocal range, capable of bringing both young and mature characters to life, could add a completely different depth to these scenes.
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War adapts the final story arc of the same name by Tite Kubo. This arc had not been brought to the screen when the original anime ended in 2012; therefore, the project holds great significance for fans who want to reach the true ending of Bleach. Produced by Studio Pierrot, the series is planned as four cours and stands out as an expanded adaptation in which Kubo has also added new scenes to the story.
Yuki Kaji's addition to the cast also shows how much importance the production places on the voice acting side. Fans are eagerly waiting to compare Kaji's interpretation with Romi Park's performance. As new episodes are released, adult Toshiro's battle scenes and the added original content will also become clearer.
