Team V Cast Announced for Blue Lock Live-Action Film: &TEAM's K to Play Nagi!

The Blue Lock project, which aims to shake up the world of soccer and cultivate "egoist" strikers, is preparing to hit the big screen. The cast for Team V, which fans have been most curious about for the live-action film set to premiere in Japan on August 7, 2026, has finally been announced. According to the official announcement, K (Koga Yudai), a beloved member of the global music group &TEAM, will have his first cinematic experience as the series' most talented yet lazy genius, Seishiro Nagi.
The other members of the cast are just as notable as Nagi. We will watch Keito Tsuna in the role of Reo Mikage, the wealthy heir who discovered Nagi's talent and brought him into the world of soccer. Kohei Higuchi will bring to life the character of Zantetsu Tsurugi, the team's speed demon known for his funny idioms. In particular, the fact that Higuchi is a former professional soccer prospect in real life and trained in the J-League youth system raises expectations for how realistic the performance on the field will be.
The film's production is being handled by the CREDEUS studio, which has produced successful, big-budget adaptations such as Kingdom and Golden Kamuy. While Yusuke Taki sits in the director's chair, it is stated that the cast underwent professional soccer training for a full 1.5 years to prepare for their roles. Furthermore, the production process was carried out in real soccer facilities with the full support of the Japan Football Association (JFA) and the J.League. This collaboration will ensure that the series' wild and competitive atmosphere is felt in its purest form in the cinema.
The Blue Lock manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura has become a modern classic, surpassing 50 million copies sold worldwide as of 2025. The series, which is not just a sports story but also a survival struggle, tells the story of finding the "single egoist striker" who will realize Japan's World Cup dreams. Starring Fumiya Takahashi (Yoichi Isagi), this massive cast is a candidate to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026 for fans of the series.
