Boukyaku Battery Season 2 Pre-Season Major Events Announced: "Boukyaku Festa 2026" and More!

MAPPA studio's humorous take on the world of baseball, Boukyaku Battery (Oblivion Battery), has some new updates. Ahead of the second season scheduled for release in 2027, a comprehensive event calendar has been announced for the series' fans. In addition to four special retrospective screening events to be held this summer, a massive organization titled "Boukyaku Festa 2026" will take place on November 29, 2026.
The lead voice actors of the series, Toshiki Masuda (Haruka Kiyomine) and Mamoru Miyano (Kei Kaname), will personally participate in the special screenings to be held this summer. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the most pivotal moments of the first season on the big screen and see their favorite artists. In particular, the transitions between comedy and drama of the character Kei Kaname, brought to life by Mamoru Miyano, have been one of the most talked-about elements of the series. The major festival in 2026 is expected to serve as a "warm-up tour" for the new season.
Created by Eko Mikawa and serialized on the Shonen Jump+ platform since 2018, the manga follows the struggles of baseball geniuses dealing with memory loss and high school life. The anime, which aired its first season in the spring of 2024, established a solid place for itself among sports anime with its high production quality and character depth. MAPPA's successful animation and the narrative that blends the technical details of baseball with humor made the series engaging not only for sports enthusiasts but for a wide audience.
Although the second season arriving in 2027 may seem like a long wait for fans, these planned events aim to keep the community's excitement alive. In the new season, the struggle of the duo, the memory-lost "General" Kei Kaname and the silent genius Haruka Kiyomine, on their path to Koshien is expected to deepen even further. Additionally, how the dramatic shifts in the later chapters of the manga will be adapted into the anime is already a subject of curiosity. Fans will have their eyes and ears on any potential trailers and visual details to be shared at the major event in 2026.
