Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! Second Season Promotional Video Released: Release Date July 2
Exciting developments are underway for the second season of Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!, the cheerful and shortened spin-off of the beloved Bungo Stray Dogs universe. The officially released main promotional video announced that the new season will begin on July 2, 2026, and that the ending theme song is "Bokura". The song is performed by Kenshō Ono, voicing one of the series' dark characters, Ryūnosuke Akutagawa.
First airing between January and March 2021, Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! is known as the chibi version of the main series based on Kafka Asagiri's original manga. This spin-off brings together the Port Mafia, the Armed Detective Agency, and other iconic characters in funny and cute everyday moments. The Bones studio, which handled production of the original series, is also involved in this project, and most voice actors have returned to their roles.
The promotional video for the new season gives fans hints of both cheerful and slightly emotional moments. The song "Bokura", performed by Kenshō Ono as Akutagawa, reflects the sensitivity hidden beneath the character's tough exterior. This contributes to the spin-off forging its own identity without being overshadowed by the main series. The Bungo Stray Dogs universe has a huge global fanbase through its manga and anime adaptations, and Wan! offers a lighter entry point into this universe.
With Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! Season 2 set to premiere on July 2, fans can now start the countdown. Like the first season, this season is expected to consist of 12 episodes. If you want to take a break from the serious tone of the main series and see the characters in a completely different light, this spin-off is for you. With the new episodes airing, it may also be possible to see hints of a potential third season.
