Capcom Announces Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition for Nintendo Switch 2

Capcom has come forward with news that will delight gamers. The studio has officially announced Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition, a comprehensive re-release of the game, for Nintendo Switch 2. The game will launch digitally on June 23; the physical version is planned for a later date.
This new edition bundles the base game along with all previously released downloadable content (DLC). Notably, the "Vergil Mode" pack, which makes the fan-favorite character Vergil playable, the "Bloody Palace" mode, and various costumes will be included directly in this edition. Thus, Switch 2 owners will be able to experience this peak action title in its entirety.
Devil May Cry 5 originally launched in March 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, earning full marks from both critics and players. Developed by Capcom on the RE Engine, the game was highly praised for blending the series' classic "stylish" combat system with modern graphics. Until now, no Devil May Cry game has appeared on a Nintendo platform; therefore, Devil Hunter Edition marks the series' first official entry on a Nintendo console.
Although the technical specifications of the Nintendo Switch 2 have not yet been fully revealed, Capcom's move shows confidence in the new console's power. Being able to play a high-octane, graphically intense game like Devil May Cry 5 on a portable device is a huge plus for fans. We will update the news as the physical version's release date becomes clear and pricing details are shared. For now, mark your calendars for June 23, because Dante, Nero, and V are gearing up to meet on the Switch 2!
