Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Film Premieres on Crunchyroll on April 30th

The wait is finally over for fans of the Chainsaw Man series, which has made a huge impact in the anime world. Crunchyroll has officially announced that the sequel film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be released on the platform on April 30th. Focusing on one of the most beloved arcs from Tatsuki Fujimoto's cult manga, this film picks up where the first season left off, inviting viewers on an action-packed adventure.
Produced by MAPPA studio, this production brings to the screen the story arc covering chapters 40 through 52 of the manga, also known among fans as the "Bomb Girl" arc. Following the massive success of the first season at the end of 2022, the decision to continue the story with a film created great excitement within the community. In the film, our main character Denji's search for an ordinary life and love will evolve into a completely different and dangerous dimension upon meeting a mysterious girl named Reze.
Chainsaw Man, by Tatsuki Fujimoto, is considered one of the most unique and dark examples of the modern shonen genre. Selling millions of copies worldwide, the manga is known for its structure that breaks away from conventional hero stories and its unexpected plot twists. The first season of the series raised the bar in the anime industry with its cinematic visuals and the use of a different ending song for every episode. The Reze Arc film is also expected to maintain the same visual quality and emotional depth.
The release of this film serves as an important bridge for a potential second season of the series in the future. Crunchyroll's move will expand the Chainsaw Man universe even further by ensuring the film is accessible globally at the same time. Starting April 30th, viewers will be able to enjoy the complex relationship between Denji and Reze and the explosive fight scenes. If you haven't finished the first season yet, now is the perfect time to complete the 12-episode marathon before watching the film!
