Chainsaw Man: Countdown Begins for Reze Arc Stage Play: Cast and Trailer Released

Exciting news for Chainsaw Man fans. One of the most iconic and emotional chapters of the series, the Reze Arc (Bomb Girl Arc), is preparing to meet the audience as a live-action stage play. The cast, first trailer, and performance dates for the production, titled Chainsaw Man The Stage: Reze Arc, have been officially announced. According to the announcement, the play will be staged at the Tennozu Galaxy Theater in Tokyo from July 25 to August 2, 2026, and at the Kyoto Theater from August 7 to 12.
In the production, the lead role of Denji is reprised by Naotake Tsuchiya, who received great acclaim for his performance in the first play in 2023. The mysterious character at the heart of the story, Reze, will be portrayed by young actress Yui Soma. The cast also sees the return of Mizuki Umetsu as Aki Hayakawa, Mahiru Coda as Power, and the legendary Aya Hirano as Makima. New additions to the cast for the new season include Yutaro as Angel Devil and Hayate Kajihara as Beam.
The stage play is directed and written by Fumiya Matsuzaki, an experienced name in the world of 2.5D theater. The music is composed by Shunsuke Wada, while the choreography for the impressive fight scenes is entrusted to the HIDALI team. The released first trailer and special visuals, referred to as "moment visuals," already showcase the famous melancholic bond between Denji and Reze and the explosive atmosphere of the story. The producers state that this play will not only be an action spectacle but also a deep drama focusing on the internal conflicts of the characters.
Created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man has become a modern classic, selling over 35 million copies worldwide since its debut in 2018. Although a bittersweet period began for fans with the finale of the second part of the manga in March 2026, projects like this continue to keep the legacy of the series alive. Following the highly successful anime film released in 2025, the adaptation of the Reze Arc to the stage proves how strong the series' popularity remains in the theater world.
