Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e (known in Turkish as Gerçek Yetenek Eşitlikçiliği Sınıfına Hoş Geldiniz) fans have big news. The 5th season production has been officially approved. The announcement was made on March 12, 2025, by the series' official Japan website and industry sources such as Natalie. Along with the new season, a special illustration visual was released showing main character Ayanokōji Kiyotaka seemingly turning into a shadow against a completely black background. The symbolism of the visual signals that the season will focus on Ayanokōji's darker and more manipulative aspects.
The series is based on the light novel of the same name written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. Published under the Media Factory label, the series has sold over 30 million copies in Japan, achieving great success. The first season of the anime adaptation aired in 2017, the second in 2022, the third in early 2024, and the fourth in the first quarter of 2025. The quick announcement of the 5th season shows the production company's confidence in the series and strong demand.
As a reminder, the story is set in Class 1-D of the prestigious Kodai Institute of Advanced Education, a high school for high-achieving students.
