New Visual for Clevatess II: The King of Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero: Naie Appears in Her Pajamas!

A new update has arrived for the highly anticipated dark fantasy series Clevatess II: The King of Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero (Clevatess II: Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō). The series' official channels have shared a new illustration featuring the character Naie, who plays a critical role in the progression of the story. In the released visual, contrary to the series' usually serious atmosphere, we see Naie relaxing comfortably in her pajamas. This visual aims to keep the excitement alive among fans ahead of the second season, which is scheduled to begin in July 2026.

The Clevatess series was created by Yuji Iwahara, the name behind cult works such as Dimension W and King of Thorn. The story revolves around Clevatess, an ancient beast king who decides to destroy humanity but chooses to raise a human baby (Luna) he finds at the last moment. The first season, which aired in July 2025 and spanned 12 episodes, quickly managed to gain a loyal following with its philosophical and dark atmosphere that steers clear of classic isekai tropes.

The production chair for the second season is once again held by the successful Studio Lay-duce. Directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi, the series features character designs by Souichirou Sako. The voice cast includes big names; Yuichi Nakamura brings the beast king Clevatess to life, while the star of the new visual, Naie, is voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa. The subtitle of the second season, "The Legend of the False Hero," signals that the story will evolve in a much more political and mystery-filled direction this time.
