Clevatess II Returns to the Anime World: New Trailer, Cast, and MYTH & ROID Announcement!
Clevatess II: Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō (Clevatess II: The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the Fake Hero) excitement is at its peak! The official team of the series has presented the second promotional video and a brand-new visual for the second season, which will air in July 2026. The new trailer not only gives hints about the direction of the story but also allows us to hear the voices of the new characters joining the series for the first time.
One of the most notable announcements for the second season came from the music side. The beloved anime music group MYTH & ROID will perform the series' ending theme with their song titled "Awake Anew." This track, built on the theme of "self-acceptance," is also featured as a short snippet in the trailer. Additionally, prominent names such as Misaki Kuno (Sarasa), Kotaro Nishiyama (Edison), Akira Sekine (Mireille), and Shiro Sano (Director Romaine) have joined the cast. In the lead roles, we will once again be greeted by Yuichi Nakamura (Clevatess), Haruka Shiraishi (Alicia), and Mutsumi Tamura (Clen).
The name behind the series, Yuji Iwahara, is no stranger to the anime and manga world. Known as the creator or character designer of cult works such as Dimension W, King of Thorn, and Darker than Black, Iwahara brings a fresh breath to the dark fantasy genre with Clevatess. The story revolves around Clevatess, a powerful demon king who is determined to destroy humanity but decides to raise a baby left in his care. The journey of this unusual trio (a demon king, a resurrected hero, and a baby) garnered great interest in the first season.
Produced by studio Lay-duce, the series is once again directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi. The series, which aired its first season in the summer of 2025 and reached a wide fan base in a short time, will continue to meet viewers on Crunchyroll.
