Famous Voices Announced for Crayon Shin-chan's New Film 'Yōkai Vacation'!

One of Japanese animation's most iconic and mischievous characters, Crayon Shin-chan, is once again preparing to excite fans with his new film set to be released in 2026. The highly anticipated 33rd 2D animated film in the series, titled 'Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Kikikaikai! Ora no Yōkai Bake-shon' (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Very Strange! My Yōkai Monster Vacation), will premiere in Japan on July 31, 2026. Three guest voice actors joining the cast for this new adventure have also been announced: renowned actress Sairi Itō and popular comedy duo Mayurika.
The film's main cast includes familiar names such as Yumiko Kobayashi as Shinnosuke Nohara, Miki Narahashi as Misae Nohara, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Hiroshi Nohara, and Satomi Koorogi as Himawari Nohara. The newly joined Sairi Itō will lend her voice to the character Yako, a nine-tailed fox yōkai, in the film. Itō is known for her voice acting performances in previous works such as 'Suzume' and 'Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!', and it is believed that with this role, she will bring a fresh perspective to the Crayon Shin-chan universe.
The Crayon Shin-chan series began in 1990 with the manga created by Yoshito Usui and was adapted into an anime in 1992. Following the passing of the original mangaka Yoshito Usui in 2009, the series continued under the title 'New Crayon Shin-chan' by his team. This long-running series, which released its first film in 1993, regularly meets its fans with a new movie every year.
