Crunchyroll Announces 2026 Summer Anime Lineup: Mushoku Tensei Season 3, Black Torch, and Over 50 Productions

Crunchyroll announced the schedule for the 2026 summer anime season with an official announcement on June 17, 2026. Under the title 'Summer 2026 Anime Lineup', the list features over 50 productions, with the most notable being Mushoku Tensei Season 3, Black Torch, Tomb Raider King, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You, and Goodbye, Lara. This lineup brings together both major sequels and highly anticipated new adaptations.
The third season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will cover one of the most critical turning points in Rudy's story. Expected to adapt volumes 13-15 of the light novel series, the new season promises viewers both emotional and action-packed moments. Meanwhile, Black Torch is adapted from Tsuyoshi Takaki's popular manga. This series, which intertwines ninjas and supernatural creatures, was published by Viz Media and has already garnered a large fanbase.
One of the most surprising productions on the list is Tomb Raider King. This work, well known to Korean manhwa fans, is coming to screens for the first time as an anime adaptation. Similarly, Goodbye, Lara also stands out as another manhwa-based production. This highlights Crunchyroll's emphasis on Asian content and the growing interest in manhwa adaptations. Additionally, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia shines as a completely original production, offering a mystical story centered on Mongolian culture.
Crunchyroll's lineup this season is also rich in genre diversity. For romantic comedy fans, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (Japanese: Kimi to Super no Aisatsu de) stands out, while action and fantasy enthusiasts are catered to by Black Torch and Mushoku Tensei. The platform plans to release at least 10 new episodes every week in the summer of 2026. Official release dates and exact episode counts will be announced in the coming days.
