Spring Bomb from Crunchyroll: Haibara's Teenage New Game+ and New Anime List Announced!

Crunchyroll has made a fast entry into the spring 2026 broadcast season by announcing the new anime series it will add to its library. The platform's expanding list includes productions that will excite anime lovers of all genres. Among the most notable members of this new selection are Haibara's Teenage New Game+, which tells the story of a teenager full of regrets returning to the past, and The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch, which promises a fun adventure set in a magic school. The platform also aims to expand its audience with productions such as RILAKKUMA, Always a Catch!, and Killed again, Mr. Detective.
Haibara's Teenage New Game+ (Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun Nyū Gēmu), produced by Studio Comet, will meet the audience on April 2, 2026. Focusing on Natsuki Haibara, a senior university student with social anxiety who gets the chance to return to his high school years and live his life "from the very beginning," this series is a candidate to be one of the season's favorites, especially for those who love "second chance" themed stories. In the production, where Misuzu Hoshino sits in the director's chair, the main character is voiced by Yuto Uemura, while the opening song "Fly Again!!" is performed by Ami Maeshima.
For those who love magic and school atmosphere, The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch (Kuroneko to Majo no Kyōshitsu) stands out. Bearing the signature of Boarding School Juliet creator Yousuke Kaneda, this series will premiere on April 12, 2026. Prepared at LIDEN FILMS studio, the anime tells the adventures of Spica Virgo, who cannot perform magic, and Claude Sirius, the mysterious talking black cat who guides her. The series also draws attention by being broadcast uninterrupted for two "cours" (approximately 24 episodes). The voice cast includes big names such as Kaede Hondo and Nobunaga Shimazaki.
In casting news, it was announced that experienced voice actor Tetsu Inada has joined the Always a Catch! (Nigashita Sakana wa Ōkikatta ga Tsuriageta Sakana ga Ōkisugita Ken) series. Inada, who is remembered for his role as Endeavor in My Hero Academia, will voice the main character Maria's father in this new series. In addition, absurd and intriguing productions such as Killed again, Mr. Detective., which is about a detective who is resurrected every time he dies, and My Ribdiculous Reincarnation, which brings a humorous approach to the popular isekai genre, also decorate Crunchyroll's spring list. The spring 2026 season seems to be quite colorful for anime lovers, with both the return of nostalgic characters and brand new discoveries.
