CyberAgent to Introduce Kagurabachi and The World Is Dancing Anime Adaptations at Anime Expo 2026
Get ready for a big surprise! CyberAgent has announced that it will unveil two new anime projects for the first time at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles in 2026: KAGURABACHI and The World Is Dancing. This move by the company creates an official platform for the anime adaptation of Kagurabachi, one of the most talked-about mangas of recent times.
CyberAgent's presence at Anime Expo 2026 is not limited to these two projects; the company plans to release new trailers, special screenings, and perhaps surprise announcements throughout the event. Kagurabachi is an action-fantasy series written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono and began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023. The manga tells the story of young Chihiro Rokuhira, who swears revenge after his father's death, and quickly gained a large fanbase in the West. Praised especially for its visual style and fight scenes, the series is considered one of Shonen Jump's new generation stars.
The other announcement, The World Is Dancing, is a lesser-known manga. Created by Ryo Takamisawa (some sources list Shunpei Ueno), this work offers a youth story themed around dance and music. The series may have been published in a magazine like Shonen Gangan in Japan, but has not yet achieved broad international recognition. CyberAgent's investment in this project demonstrates the company's strategy of supporting anime adaptations across various genres. The company previously participated in the animation productions of popular series such as Uma Musume and Princess Connect! Re:Dive, and also served as a producer under the CyberAgent Anime label.
CyberAgent's introduction of these two projects at Anime Expo 2026 is a welcome development for Kagurabachi fans as well as a sign of the industry's interest in new talent. Kagurabachi is expected to be adapted with a large budget and by a high-quality production studio. Although the studio and release date have not yet been announced, the first trailer and possibly a cast announcement are likely at Anime Expo 2026.
