Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Japanese and English Voice Cast Announced: Koki Uchiyama Voices D, Akari Kito Voices Talia

The Japanese and English voice cast for Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 has finally been announced. Koki Uchiyama (Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, Tobio Kageyama in Haikyuu!!), a beloved figure in the anime world, breathes life into the mysterious character D, while Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer, Tsubomi in Mob Psycho 100) will appear as Talia. These two important actors are opening the doors to a new story in the dark streets of Night City.
The first season, which aired on Netflix last year, received great acclaim for Studio Trigger's unique animation style and character-driven storytelling. Cyberpunk Edgerunners told the story of a group of marginalized residents fighting for survival in the universe of CD Projekt Red's legendary game Cyberpunk 2077. The season finale left viewers with both an emotional and surprising ending, hinting that a continuation was coming. Now, Studio Trigger and Netflix have begun preparations for the series' second season, Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2.
In the new season, characters D and Talia are expected to be at the center of the story. According to Anime Corner, while the characters' backgrounds and connections to each other have not yet been fully revealed, they are thought to be new faces we met at the end of the first season. The project, again directed by Hiroyuki Imanishi, is said to have largely the same writing team. This means the series will retain its unique atmosphere and engaging narrative.
Although there is no clear release date yet, industry sources predict the series could meet audiences on Netflix in the second half of 2025. Given the success of the first season, Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 is bound to generate great excitement among both game fans and anime lovers. How the new voice cast will perform is already a topic of curiosity. We will continue to follow developments.
