New Visual and Fall Release Date Announced for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2

A new promotional image released in recent days has officially confirmed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will premiere this fall. According to Anime News Network, the image features the neon Night City skyline and silhouettes of new characters. Although an exact date has not yet been given, the fall window is a sign fans have long awaited.
In the new season, the story's focus shifts to an entirely different crew: Weak Kingsley, Talia Yang, Roman Carax, and a mysterious character referred to only as D. It is currently unknown from which corner of Night City these names come or how they are connected to each other. Following the journey of last season's hero David Martinez, it is certain that the new crew will tell a different story.
The first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was produced by Studio Trigger and released on Netflix in 2022. This 10-episode series set in CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 universe received great acclaim for its visual style, music, and emotional depth, winning many awards including Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The second season is expected to be realized with the talents of the same team.
In recent months, the producers hinted that the story will take place years after the events at the end of the first season and that David Martinez's traces will still be felt. The neon colors and chaotic structure of the new visual indicate that the series will stay true to its spirit. Detailed character introductions and the first trailer are expected in the coming weeks. Eagerly await autumn to meet the new inhabitants of Night City.
