Major Casting for Digimon Beatbreak's New "GIFT" Arc: Ayane Sakura Joins the Cast!

DIGIMON BEATBREAK, which draws attention as the 11th and darkest series in the Digimon universe, is preparing to turn a new page in its story. With the official announcement for the highly anticipated GIFT arc, which will begin on April 26, 2026, it has been revealed that the famous artist Ayane Sakura will voice the mysterious new character Miharu Kagemori.
Miharu Kagemori will play a key role in the new episodes of the series and is described as a "mysterious girl." It is stated that the character will be a figure with deep knowledge of code, challenging the general consensus that sees the existence of Digimon in the world as mere software glitches. Ayane Sakura is a name who has captured the hearts of fans with her performances in major productions such as My Hero Academia (Ochaco Uraraka) and Attack on Titan (Gabi Braun).
Produced by Toei Animation, DIGIMON BEATBREAK has adopted a more dystopian and adult-oriented tone since its premiere on October 5, 2025, deviating from the series' classic style. Telling the story of Sapotama devices powered by e-Pulse energy derived from human emotions and the Digimon born from these devices, the production follows the adventures of Tomoro Tenma and his partner Gekkomon. The GIFT arc will be the fourth major story arc following the Tactics and Interlude chapters.
The series, directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto, has moved the Digimon brand into a modern cyberpunk atmosphere, specifically targeting an audience in their 20s. The inclusion of a popular voice like Ayane Sakura in the cast proves the intention to increase production quality and narrative depth as the series moves toward its final sagas. Fans are waiting for the true meaning of the slogan "Glitch the Future" to finally be solved with the appearance of Miharu.
