A New Mystery Original Anime from Doga Kobo: Moebius Dust Arrives in July!

Doga Kobo studio is back with a new announcement that is sure to excite the anime world. The studio's highly anticipated original TV anime Moebius Dust is preparing to air in July 2026. According to the official announcement, the main voice cast for the series will feature Yuto Takenaka (Araki), Nene Hieda (Stella), and Haruka Sato (Olga). Additionally, the song titled "Möbius," performed by famous singer Leo Ieiri, has been selected as the anime's opening theme (OP).
The story takes place in a Japan that has changed following the mysterious meteors known as "Möbius" that fell to Earth on February 29, 2000. These meteors brought with them a substance called Moebius Dust, which can create miracles when mixed into the air. However, this event has led to severe economic inequality and social unrest in the country. The seemingly ordinary school lives of our protagonists, Araki, Stella, and Olga, will intertwine with a "capture the flag" game that is not as simple as it appears, along with elements of supernatural warfare.
The team behind the project consists of quite ambitious names. Tarou Iwasaki, known for works such as One Week Friends and Bibliophile Princess, sits in the director's chair, while the screenplay is entrusted to Yoriko Tomita, the successful writer of My Dress-Up Darling. Lead actor Yuto Takenaka says the following about his character, Araki: "This work presents the excitement of supernatural battle scenes while also telling a story where every character is very human and relatable. Araki is also someone who is introverted and feels a need for validation, just like me; watching his journey will be very impressive."
Moebius Dust is produced by DeNA, Sotsu, and Nippon Cultural Broadcasting.
