The moment Dr. Stone fans have been waiting for has finally arrived! The first trailer for the third and final part of the series' final season, Dr. Stone: Science Future, has been released. With this new promotional video, the final path of Senku Ishigami and his friends' struggle to save humanity has become clear. According to the official announcement, the final episodes of this epic story will meet the audience on April 2, 2026.
Adapted from the popular manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, the anime has gained a massive global following since its debut in 2019. Produced by TMS Entertainment, the series has become one of the most unique examples of its genre by blending scientific facts with an adventure-filled story. As you may recall, the original manga series concluded in March 2022 with its 232nd chapter; the anime is now preparing to complete this science-filled adventure on screen.
The final season, Science Future, was planned to present the story in three different parts (cours). The first part was released in January 2025, and the second part in July 2025, leaving fans in great anticipation. The third part will focus on the "Moon Mission" and beyond, which will fully solve the mystery of the petrification event. The released trailer is full of scenes where the series' iconic characters Senku, Chrome, and Kohaku push the boundaries of technology. These episodes, where we will witness the pinnacle of the civilization established by the Kingdom of Science, represent the emotional and action-packed finale of the series.
This finale is not just the end of a story, but also proof of how successful educational and entertaining content can be in the modern anime world. In the new season, the opening theme will be performed by the famous band Asian Kung-Fu Generation with their song "Skins." Starting from the premiere on April 2nd, fans will join Senku's "ten billion percent" exciting final adventure with weekly episodes. If you haven't watched the series yet, now is a great time to check out the previous seasons before the finale!
