Written by Riichiro Inagaki and brought to life with Boichi's unique illustrations, the manga series took Weekly Shonen Jump by storm between 2017 and 2022. This monumental work, consisting of 232 chapters and 27 volumes, carved out a unique place in the anime world by blending scientific facts with adventure. The anime adaptation, produced by TMS Entertainment, has managed to build a loyal fanbase since its first season in 2019.
The final season, Science Future, is planned to consist of three parts in total. The final act of the season, whose first two parts met with audiences in 2025, will be presented to fans with a special preview screening in Tokyo on March 21, 2026. Additionally, the opening song for the final part, "Skins," will be performed by the legendary band ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. This season will not only be the end of a story but also the pinnacle of humanity's transformation from the Stone Age to modern technology.
Shuhei Matsushita, who served as director for the third season, continues to sit in the director's chair for the final season. Fans will learn how Senku's plans, which he is "ten billion percent" sure of, will turn out and discover all the truths behind the mystery of petrification in these final episodes. The Kingdom of Science's space journey promises a finale that will not be forgotten in the anime world for a long time.
