Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3's First Trailer Released: AGE 1000 Era and New Mechanics Coming

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has finally been officially announced and excited fans with its first trailer. Developed by Bandai Namco and Dimps, the game focuses on a brand new time period called AGE 1000. The trailer shows the Time Patrollers facing an unprecedented threat and embarking on a new adventure under the leadership of Trunks.
The first Dragon Ball Xenoverse was released in 2015, and the second game in 2016. After eight years, the arrival of the third game came as a big surprise for the series' loyal fanbase. The original games allowed players to create their own avatars and intervene in Dragon Ball history. Xenoverse 3 is expected to take this formula even further.
The AGE 1000 era seen in the trailer had previously only been partially explored in spin-offs such as Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Heroes. This era takes place a thousand years after the original series and offers a world with entirely new characters, hybrid Saiyans, and different races coexisting. Dimps bringing this time period to the main game series represents a major leap in storytelling.
New mechanics include smoother combat animations, enhanced transformation systems, and a branching story mode that shapes based on player choices. Additionally, it is stated that for the first time, an open world-like exploration area will be added, allowing players to freely roam different regions of AGE 1000. The developers stated that they aim to add depth to the game with this feature.
Although the release date has not been officially announced, rumors suggest that the game could be released in the last quarter of 2025. Bandai Namco is expected to share more details in the coming months. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is seen as a strong step both to win back old players and to reach new audiences. Fans of the series are already rubbing their hands together – we can start counting down the days to join the Time Patrol.
