Eleceed Anime's First Promotional Video Released: Main Voice Cast Announced
The long-awaited anime adaptation of the popular webtoon Eleceed has debuted with its first promotional video. According to Anime News Network, the main voice cast for the characters was officially announced in the released promo. The series is set to premiere in early 2027.
In the lead roles, Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen, Naofumi from The Rising of the Shield Hero) will voice the character Jiwoo. Tasuku Hatanaka (Haruki Nakayama from Given, Shaddiq Zenelli from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) will portray Kayden. The cast also includes names for other important characters: Yumi Uchiyama as Subin Kang, Shun'ichi Toki as Jisuk Kang, Tomokazu Sugita as Wooin Yoon, and Junichi Suwabe as Duke.
The manhwa by Son Jeho and ZHENA has been serialized on Naver Webtoon since 2018 and has reached millions of readers worldwide. The story follows young Jiwoo, who possesses super speed, and his encounter with Kayden, a powerful awakener (awakened) trapped in a cat's body. The series is known for its hidden world of superpowers, friendship, and action-packed scenes. Although no studio information has been shared for the anime adaptation, this cast announcement has heightened fans' excitement.
A release date of early 2027 indicates that production is still in its early stages.
