English Dub Cast and Release Date Announced for Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life Anime

Crunchyroll has made an exciting announcement for the popular comedy-fantasy anime series Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life: the show's English dub will premiere this Saturday as a simulcast. The dub stars Kelly Greenshield and Mauricio Ortiz-Segura in the lead roles.

The anime follows the protagonist Mangetsu Hanaori, who still desires to fight in her afterlife. The original manga series was written and illustrated by Kousuke Toriumi and began serialization in Monthly Shōnen Gangan in 2022. Gaining a large fan base in a short time, the series was announced for an anime adaptation by Studio Zero-G in 2024 and premiered in the 2025 summer season. The anime is directed by Yoshinobu Kasai.

According to Crunchyroll's announcement, the dub is being directed by David Walsh. Kelly Greenshield, who voices the character Hanaori, is known for her roles in productions such as Mob Psycho 100 and Jujutsu Kaisen, while Mauricio Ortiz-Segura, who voices the male lead Ryuuji Kato, draws attention with his performances in Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan dubs. The chemistry between the two actors has already become a subject of curiosity among fans.

This move shows that Crunchyroll is strengthening its same-day dub strategy. Having previously used the same method for productions like Spy × Family and Chainsaw Man, the platform aims to ensure that English-speaking viewers can follow the series without missing out. Hanaori-san's absurd humor and dynamic fight scenes promise to reach wider audiences with the English dub.

Dubbed episodes will continue to be released every Saturday on Crunchyroll. The first season of the series consists of 12 episodes in total, and the studio is already giving signals for a second season.
