The Student Council Has Gaps Too! Anime's Cast and October Release Date Announced

The anime's lead voice actor and release date have been officially announced. This comedy-romance series is set to premiere in October 2026.
The anime stars the experienced voice actor Shōgo Sakata, who will voice the character Mizunoe Ume. Sakata is known for his roles in productions such as Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia. Ume is an ordinary high school student who is elected to the student council; however, the council's 'gaps' drag him into unexpected and comical events. While the rest of the voice cast has not been fully announced yet, the production team has stated that they will reveal new names shortly.
The series originally began as a manga written and illustrated by Mojimi in 2021 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. It quickly gained a large fan base with its unique humor and warm characters. The manga has so far reached 5 volumes and has been released in Turkey with official translations. Rumors suggest that the anime adaptation is being handled by Liden Films and directed by Shin’ya Kawatsura — however, official confirmation has not yet arrived.
