Fate/Strange Fake Anime Series Continues: New Episodes Officially Announced!

Exciting news continues to arrive for Fate/Strange Fake, one of the most highly anticipated productions in the Fate universe. The anime series, which debuted on screens on January 3, 2026, concluded its first season with the 13th episode aired on March 28, and surprised fans immediately after with a teaser video. The "To Be Continued" message at the end of the video officially declared that the fake Holy Grail War in Snowfield is not over yet.
This series is based on the popular light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, the name behind legendary works such as Baccano! and Durarara!!. With an interesting history, Fate/Strange Fake actually began as an April Fools' joke in 2008 under the name "Fake/states night". However, the intense interest of fans and the potential of the story turned this joke first into a novel, and then into a massive anime project brought to life by the A-1 Pictures studio.
While the duo of Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume sit in the director's chair, the music bears the signature of Hiroyuki Sawano. Set in the city of Snowfield in the United States, this story focuses on a "fake" war that turns the rules we are familiar with from the classic Fate series upside down. The struggle of iconic characters like Gilgamesh and Enkidu, as well as new and mysterious figures unique to the series, combined with high animation quality, managed to get full marks from the audience.
So, what awaits us next? Although the exact release date for the new episodes has not yet been announced, it is known that Ryohgo Narita's original novel series will conclude with the 10th volume in the summer of 2026. This significantly strengthens the possibility that the anime will complete the story in its entirety. For Fate fans, the next act of this chaotic war in Snowfield will likely feature much larger-scale conflicts and surprise alliances. We will continue to follow the developments!
