New Hokuto no Ken Anime Cast Expands: Voice Actors for Jackal and Taki Revealed

The legendary manga series Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) continues to add new talent to its cast as it celebrates its return to the modern anime world. In the latest announcement for the highly anticipated new adaptation Hokuto no Ken -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-, the voice actors for three new characters who play critical roles in the story's progression were revealed. According to the official statement, Kaori Ishihara will voice Taki, Sayuri Sadaoka will voice Toyo, and Takashi Matsuyama will voice the iconic villain Jackal.
The new announcement was not limited to the cast; a brief summary and exciting preview images for the series' 8th episode, "Messenger from the Homeland," were also presented to fans. In this episode, Kenshiro's journey is expected to enter an emotional and action-packed phase. The inclusion of a dangerous character like Jackal in the story has sparked great curiosity among the series' loyal fans. Takashi Matsuyama's history of bringing many dark characters to life raises expectations for how he will portray Jackal's menacing nature on screen.
Created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara and first published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1983, Hokuto no Ken has become one of the most important works in manga history, selling over 100 million copies worldwide. This new project, brought to life by Warner Bros. Japan in honor of the series' 40th anniversary, aims to retell the original story using the latest animation technologies.
