New Voice Cast and Opening Song from milet for the Anime 'Futsutsuka na Akujo dewa Gozaimasu ga'

One of the highly anticipated productions of the Spring 2025 season, Futsutsuka na Akujo dewa Gozaimasu ga ~Hinagu Soso Torikae Den~ (which can be translated as "Even Though I'm a Flawed Villainess ~The Hinagu Soso Exchange Story~"), has announced its new voice cast and opening song. According to the official website and Natalie's report, five new actors join the cast, and the opening song will be performed by milet.
The new cast includes Rei Igarashi (as 黄絹秀), Ai Kayano (as 朱雅媚), Mai Nakahara (as 金清佳), Inori Minase (as 藍芳春), and Yui Ishikawa (as 玄歌吹). Previously announced main roles include Fairouz Ai (as Hinagiku) and Kana Hanazawa (as Renge). The director is Yoshihiro Hiramine (his first directorial experience on this series); the series is written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, and character designs are by Masayoshi Tanaka.
The series is adapted from the light novel of the same name by Mochizuki Benigumo. The story begins when Princess Hinagiku, known as a "flawed" villainess, swaps bodies with a maid after an accident. This production, full of court intrigues, romance, and action, stands out especially for its strong female characters and unexpected plot twists. The title of the opening song composed by milet has not yet been revealed, but fans are excited recalling the singer's success in previous anime songs (for example, Demon Slayer and Vinland Saga).
The new trailer, with short but impressive scenes, shows both the dynamics of the main characters and the colorful palace setting. The anime will premiere in Japan in April 2025 (spring season). International licensing details are not yet clear, but it is expected to attract interest from platforms like Crunchyroll or Netflix. Futsutsuka na Akujo already has a fan base with its light novel and manga adaptations; the anime adaptation will bring this universe to a wider audience.
As the release date approaches, more details (additional cast, ending song, streaming platforms) are expected. The series, already one of the standout productions for Spring 2025 anime, especially appeals to viewers who enjoy court intrigues. Stay tuned for updates!
