What If Gacha Addiction Worked in Another World: "Gacha wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu" Gets an Anime!
What would you do if your passion for gacha games transported you to another world? The popular light novel series Gacha wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu: Saikyou no Bishoujo Gundan wo Tsukuriagero (Turn Gacha to Increase Allies: Build the Strongest Beautiful Girl Army), written by Chinkururi, is officially being adapted into a television anime. According to the announcement, the series will meet viewers in January 2027. Also known in the anime world as "Gacha Girls Corps," this production blends gacha mechanics with the isekai genre in an entertaining way.
The series stars veteran voice actor Daisuke Sakaguchi, known for his role as Shinpachi in the Gintama series. Sakaguchi will bring to life the character Heihachi Okura, a gacha addict who spends almost his entire salary on mobile games. Joining him are Miyu Tomita as Norl Fanya and popular idol group =LOVE member Iori Noguchi as Estel. The production of the anime will be jointly handled by the studios Zero-G and Saber Works. Takashi Asami sits in the director's chair, while Masahiro Takada serves as the chief director.
The origins of this exciting project date back to 2016, when it began publication on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. Later published by Micro Magazine, the series has reached a total of 1.2 million copies sold, including its manga adaptation illustrated by Syuu Haruno. The story begins when Heihachi pulls a rare item called "Invitation to Another World" in a gacha draw. Finding himself suddenly in a world filled with monsters, our hero tries to survive by using his smartphone to summon powerful and beautiful warrior girls through the gacha system.
For fans, this news was a long-awaited development. Especially considering the global popularity of gacha games (such as Genshin Impact and Fate/Grand Order), an anime that addresses the absurd and fun aspects of this genre is expected to attract great interest. Although the series' release in January 2027 may seem like a distant date, the production team states that they will use this time to provide high-quality animation.
