Giant Ojō-sama Anime Adaptation Premieres in January 2027
The anime adaptation of the beloved manga Giant Ojō-sama is officially on its way. According to Anime News Network, the adaptation will be produced by Tatsunoko Production, with Hiroshi Ikehata in the director's seat. The series, whose first promotional visual has also been shared, is set to premiere in January 2027.
As its name hints, the manga tells the story of a 'giant ojō-sama' — the young heiress of a wealthy family. Nikumura Q's unique sense of humor transforms ordinary daily life into an absurd comedy on a grand scale. The conflicts caused by the protagonist's attempts to remain noble and elegant despite her huge body seem likely to provide entertaining moments in this adaptation as well.
Director Hiroshi Ikehata is known for his comedic and romantic comedy skills, as seen in works such as Aho Girl and Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It.
