A Big Day for Girls & Panzer Fans: 'Motto Love Love Sakusen desu!' Finale and Das Finale Episode 5 Release Date Announced!

The Girls & Panzer universe continues to grow with new developments that will excite its fans! On April 11, 2026, a special stage event held at the Shinjuku Wald 9 cinema in Tokyo celebrated the screening of the 4th and final episode of the series' beloved spin-off, Girls & Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen desu! (More Love Love Operation!). The event featured Maya Yoshioka, who brings the characters Anchovy and Taeko Kondo to life, Asami Seto in the role of Kinuyo Nishi, and Naomi Ohzora, the voice of Haru Fukuda.
The voice actors expressed their satisfaction that this new episode, which premiered on April 10, focused more on the daily lives and comedic moments of their characters rather than tank battles. Maya Yoshioka noted that the humorous side of the series always remains fresh for fans and that the bond between the characters is further strengthened by such side stories. Additionally, it was announced at the event that a special pilot animation prepared for Ribbon no Musha (Ribbon Warrior), another popular side story in the series, was presented to the audience alongside the 4th episode. This surprise created great enthusiasm among fans waiting for the no-rules tank battles known as "Tankathlon."
However, the real bombshell of the day came from the main story continuation, the Girls & Panzer: Das Finale series. It was officially announced that the highly anticipated 5th episode of this massive six-part final project will be released in theaters in Japan on October 9, 2026. The new film, produced by studio Actas under the leadership of director Tsutomu Mizushima, will also be available in advanced formats such as Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and MX4D. This date has created a celebratory atmosphere for the community, which has been in a long wait since the 4th episode in 2023.
Starting in 2012 and focusing on the struggle of high school girls in the sport of "tankery" (Sensha-do), Girls & Panzer has lost none of its popularity over the years. While productions like Motto Love Love Sakusen desu!, adapted from Maruko Nii's 4-koma manga series, provide a fun break from the serious atmosphere of the main story, the Das Finale series is preparing the journey of Miho Nishizumi and her friends for an epic conclusion. With the 5th episode hitting theaters this coming October, we will all see how the fate of Oarai Girls Academy will be shaped.
