First Teaser Visual for Second Season of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana-Kimi) Released

The long-awaited first key visual for the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Hisaya Nakajo's unforgettable manga Hanazakari no Kimitachi e has been released. In the visual, the main character Mizuki Ashiya and other important characters from the series form a warm and intimate composition under a shared umbrella.
The original manga was serialized in Hana to Yume magazine from 1996 to 2004 and reached millions of readers worldwide with its story of a girl who disguises herself as a boy to follow the athlete she loves into an all-boys high school. The work, which had previously been adapted into live-action drama series in Japan and Taiwan, finally received its first TV anime adaptation, and its first season, which aired last year, brought together both nostalgic fans and new viewers.
The presence of Izumi Sano, Shuichi Nakatsu, and other beloved characters alongside Mizuki in the second season's key visual signals that the story will continue from where it left off. The umbrella motif in the visual highlights themes of friendship, protection, and togetherness. Although no official announcement has been made regarding the production company and release date of the series, the release of the key visual indicates that detailed information will be coming soon.
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, one of the most important representatives of the shoujo genre, is known for handling themes such as gender identity, friendship, and young love with a blend of humor and emotion. The first season of the anime adaptation was praised for its faithfulness to the original manga and for successfully reflecting the character dynamics. The second season is expected to cover popular school festivals, sports tournaments, and emotional turning points from the manga. Fans are eagerly awaiting news of when new episodes will air.
