Hell Mode Season 2 Starts on July 3, 2025: New Characters and Trailer Released

Hell Mode: The Isekai of a True Game Maniac anime's second season will air on Japanese television on July 3, 2025. The production team simultaneously announced a new main trailer, additional voice actors, and the opening theme for the highly anticipated second season.
The trailer shows a number of new characters joining Allen's adventures. Among them are well-known names such as TakeTora (as the voice of Saitō) and Miki Shinichirō (who will bring a new antagonist character to life). Additionally, the music video for the selected opening song "Sōzō no Hate" (Creativity's End) was also shown in the trailer.
The production, which received great attention in its first season in 2023, is adapted from Yūki Tanaka's light novel series of the same name. The story follows a teenager obsessed with games in real life who creates a character on the hardest difficulty 'Hell Mode' and wakes up in an isekai world. The series stands out not only for powering up but also for its strategic intelligence and resource management.
In the first season, viewers watched Allen overcome initial difficulties and gain a group of loyal friends. In the second season, the story deepens as kingdoms unite against a greater threat and Allen discovers his true abilities. Production studio Studio Palette (which directed the first season) has once again not compromised on quality; the animation fluidity and color palette stand out in the new season as well.
It has not yet been officially announced whether the second season will be internationally released on platforms such as Netflix and Crunchyroll. However, given that the first season attracted a wide audience, a similar distribution is expected. For those interested in 'game mechanics-based storytelling,' one of the most appreciated sub-genres of isekai, Hell Mode Season 2 is poised to be one of the most notable productions of this summer.
