Hetalia ~World☆Stars~ Musical Returns: 5th Production to Celebrate 10th Anniversary in Three Different Cities!

We have great news for Hetalia ~World☆Stars~ fans! The fifth stage musical of the series, which focuses on fun and chaotic personifications of countries, has been officially announced. Titled "10th Anniversary Musical 'Hetalia ~World☆Stars~'", this new production is preparing to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series' stage journey with great enthusiasm.
The new musical will open its curtains in Osaka on October 23, 2026. The most important feature that distinguishes this production from previous plays in the series is that it will meet the audience in three different cities for the first time. Performances will begin in Osaka between October 23-26, and then continue in Tokyo and Aichi. The producers stated that they aim to reach more fans with this comprehensive tour, highlighting the popularity of the series.
The Hetalia universe, created by Hidekaz Himaruya, first entered our lives as a webcomic. The series, which handles historical events and cultural stereotypes with a humorous language, quickly turned into a massive anime and manga phenomenon. The stage adaptations, known briefly as "Hetamu" among fans, have had a loyal following since 2015. This new 10th-anniversary special production will bring both old characters and the fresh energy of the World☆Stars era to the stage.
So, why is this news so important? Hetalia musicals are not just theater plays; they are also major events where the fan community comes together. The fact that visuals have already been shared and the decision for three cities has been made shows how ambitious the production is. How the unique drawing style of the series' creator Hidekaz Himaruya will be reflected in the stage costumes and decor is already a matter of curiosity.
The cast, full schedule, and ticket sales details are expected to be announced in the coming months. If you have the chance to be in Japan on those dates, we recommend booking your tickets early to be a part of this historic celebration. We will continue to follow the developments!
