Hiroshi Kamiya to Voice New Character Izumo Hai in 'Mission: Yozakura Family' Anime

Hiroshi Kamiya steps into the Mission: Yozakura Family universe. The anime, based on the manga of the same name by Hitsuji Gondaira, has entrusted the voice acting of a new character, Izumo Hai, who will be introduced in episode 38, to the legendary voice artist. The news was announced by Japanese news site Natalie.
Kamiya is known for iconic roles such as Levi in Attack on Titan, Koyomi Araragi in Monogatari Series, and Trafalgar Law in One Piece. His involvement adds great excitement to the series, which already has a strong cast. Mission: Yozakura Family stars Kōki Uchiyama as Taiyo Asano and Reina Ueda as Mutsumi Yozakura.
Created by Hitsuji Gondaira, the series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2019 and quickly drew attention with its original story blending espionage, comedy, and family drama. The manga has currently reached 24 volumes. The anime adaptation started in April 2024 and continues with a second season after a 27-episode first season. Episode 38 comes at a point where the story takes a darker turn, and Izumo Hai's connection to the Yozakura family is a subject of curiosity.
For fans, this casting choice renews confidence in the series' quality. The depth and charisma Kamiya will bring to the character could have a significant impact, especially during a period of heightened tension in recent episodes. If manga readers are any indication, Izumo Hai is not as simple as he seems — a big secret about him is about to be unveiled. As new episodes continue to air weekly, this development marks one of the most critical points in Mission: Yozakura Family so far.
