Honō no Tōkyūjo: Dodge Danko Dodgeball Anime Announces 18 New Voice Actors

Honō no Tōkyūjo: Dodge Danko Dodgeball anime has greeted its fans with an exciting announcement. According to Anime News Network, the production has added 18 new voice actors to its cast and released the series' key visual. The series will premiere on July 6. This large cast will bring life to both main characters and supporting roles.
The series is adapted from the manga of the same name. The manga was created by writer and artist Miyabi and began serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022. The story revolves around the rebellious teenager Danko who joins the dodgeball team in high school. Together with his teammates, he faces opponents in both comedic and action-packed matches. Focusing on the characters' personal growth as well as dodgeball, the series quickly gained popularity.
The main cast of the anime had been announced previously; the voice actor for the lead role Danko was eagerly awaited. Now, with the addition of 18 actors, the other students of the school, rival team members, and teachers have also been announced. Kenichi Imaizumi is directing the production, while the script is entrusted to Hiroshi Yamaguchi. The animation studio is known as Liden Films.
This kind of cast announcement is a sign for anime fans of how expansive the series' world is. A dodgeball-themed sports anime is particularly notable as it is a rare genre in recent years. The humorous tone and energetic match scenes of Honō no Tōkyūjo seem to be successfully transferred to the anime as in the manga. As the premiere date approaches, new trailers and promotions are expected.
