The story revolves around a married couple whose lives are turned upside down by a mysterious 16-year-old boy who moves in next to them. Combining suspense and psychological horror elements, the original manga was noted for its narrative that kept readers on edge. The live-action adaptation is expected to bring this tense atmosphere to the screen.
These five new names, added to the previously announced lead cast, will portray different characters in the story. In the key visual released alongside the expanding cast, the characters' intertwined gazes and tense postures stand out. The visual creates an atmosphere that oscillates between reality and fantasy.
Pumpkin is known for short horror stories posted in installments, especially on social media. Fūfu to 16-sai had become one of the author's most well-known series. The live-action adaptation is likely to bring the manga to a wider audience and attract significant interest in Turkey as well. Although the series' release date has not yet been set, new trailers and promotional materials are expected in the coming months.
