HoYoFair 2026: The "Once Upon a Time" Breeze Swept Through Los Angeles

Bringing together the most talented content creators in the HoYoverse world, HoYoFair 2026 took Los Angeles by storm with its "Once Upon a Time" (or officially titled Once Upon HoYoFair) themed concert. Held on May 1, 2026, at the world-famous Dolby Theatre, which also hosts the Academy Awards, the event once again proved how massive fan-made content can become. The concert focused on entirely fan-made music and animations inspired by the Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, and Honkai Impact 3rd universes.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, HoYoFair has gone beyond being just a digital platform, crowning its global tour with a Los Angeles stop following Paris, Berlin, London, and Dallas. At the event, works such as the Honkai: Star Rail community favorite "Trash Can Song" and the energetic Zenless Zone Zero track "MoeChakkaFire" were presented to the audience with live performances. Supported by HoYoverse but produced entirely by independent artists, this content is described as "fanservice"—a service provided by fans for fans.
HoYoFair stands out as a unique model across the industry. The company not only encourages players and artists to create derivative works based on their own intellectual property (IP) but also sponsors them to showcase this content on professional stages. The 2026 tour, organized in collaboration with Charisma Tanuki Productions and 54 Entertainment, demonstrates how critical community-focused marketing and fan loyalty play a role in the modern gaming world.
