New Cast News for the Anime "I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand": Starts in July!

Exciting news continues to arrive for the anime I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand (known in Japanese as Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita), which is preparing for an ambitious entry into the fantasy world. The production team announced that three new names have joined the voice cast ahead of the grand premiere in July 2026. According to the newly released information, Wakana Maruoka (as Arone), Yuuki Terui (as Ario), and Akari Miyazaki (as Ginny) will take their places in this epic adventure.
Our story begins with a classic yet impressive sacrifice. Our main character, Luck, decides to stand alone against a massive demon army so his friends can escape. The battle, which he entered by saying, "Leave this place to me and go!", lasts for ten years. Luck manages to survive by absorbing the vital energy of the demons, and when he returns after ten years, he realizes that he has not aged at all and that his name has become a legend. However, to escape the stress brought by nobility and fame, he decides to hide his identity and start his adventurer career over from the very bottom, at F-rank, under the name Lock Franzen.
Behind the scenes of the anime are some very experienced names. The director's chair is occupied by Hiroyuki Kanbe, known for works such as Oreimo and Plunderer. Animation production is handled by Studio GEKKOU. In the main cast of the series, Gakuto Kajiwara brings the character Luck to life, accompanied by master voice actors such as Toshiyuki Morikawa (Erik) and Tsuyoshi Koyama (Goran). The release date, originally planned for April 2026, was postponed to July 2026 to provide viewers with a higher-quality production.
This production is actually based on a popular web novel written by Ezogingitune in 2018. Later adapted into a light novel with illustrations by DeeCHA and a manga by Chako Abeno, the series is highly popular among fans who love the "overpowered but humble" main character theme. If you enjoy stories about the sweet peace that comes after a ten-year resistance and tales of starting over, we recommend not missing Luck's adventures this summer. See you in July!
