New Trailer for Kurasu de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta: The Emotional Bond Between Maki and Umi Deepens

An exciting development has occurred for the currently airing Kurasu de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta (I Became Friends with the Second Cutest Girl in Class) anime! The third main promotional video (PV) shared by the series' official channels shows that the story is not just about a sweet school romance, but has much deeper emotional layers. This new trailer focuses specifically on our main character Maki Maehara's complex family relationships and how Umi Asanagi offers him unwavering support during this difficult process.
Along with the new trailer, key names joining the voice cast were also announced. According to the announcement, Rikuya Yasuda will voice Nozomu Seki, Shinji Kawada will voice Itsuki Maehara, and Yurina Amami will voice Kyoka Minato. Additionally, in the trailer, we get our first chance to hear the impressive insert song titled "Hi no Ataru Kotoba" (Words in the Sunlight) performed by reGretGirl. This track perfectly complements the atmosphere of those emotional moments where the bond between Maki and Umi strengthens.
Adapted from the popular light novel series written by Takata, which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, the production is brought to life by studio Connect. Hideki Tachibana sits in the director's chair, while the screenplay is shaped by the hands of Keiichiro Ochi. The series follows the secret and intimate friendship formed between Umi, who is seen as the "second cutest girl" in school, and Maki, a quiet young man with a small social circle, through their shared interest in B-movies. This "second-tier" friendship where the characters are honest with each other
