Inukami! Anime Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary with Free Episodes and Music Releases on YouTube

The Inukami! anime is greeting its fans with a big surprise to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its first broadcast. As of June 15, all episodes of the anime have become available for free on YouTube. On the same date, the series' original soundtrack and vocal albums were also released for the first time on digital music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.).
The series' author, Mamizu Arisawa, published a message for this special day and thanked the fans. Arisawa said, "I am very happy that Inukami! is still remembered with so much love after 20 years. I hope new generations of viewers will join this adventure." The author's message was also shared on the series' official YouTube channel.
Inukami! is based on the light novel series of the same name published between 2002 and 2004. Written by Mamizu Arisawa and illustrated by Kanna Wakatsuki, the series tells the comedic and romantic story of a young girl who turns into a dog goddess and a young man who falls in love with her. Adapted into an anime by Seven Arcs studio in 2006, the production was noted at the time for its humorous tone and colorful characters. The series consisted of 26 episodes and one OVA episode.
This move offers a great nostalgia opportunity, especially for fans of early 2000s romantic comedy anime. The episodes released for free on YouTube will allow both old fans to rewatch and new viewers who have never heard of the series to discover it. Additionally, the arrival of the soundtrack and vocal albums on digital platforms provides easy access to the series' music.
All episodes of the Inukami! anime may currently be available for free on YouTube only in the Japan region; however, an announcement from the official channel is expected to allow international fans to take advantage of this opportunity. It is not yet known whether there will be other surprises as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations. If you want to take a trip to the fun anime era of the 2000s, Inukami! offers an unmissable opportunity right now.
