Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Gets Fifth Stage Play: Shibuya Incident Arc to be Performed

Jujutsu Kaisen universe is once again being brought to the stage. The fifth stage play of Gege Akutami's wildly popular manga is set to meet audiences in November. The new play will cover the Shibuya Incident arc, one of the most turbulent and emotional periods of the series.
According to Anime News Network, although the details of the play have not been fully shared in the official announcement by the production company, the stage interpretation of the Shibuya Incident has already sparked great curiosity. The previous four plays were highly acclaimed; the first play "The Dazzling Light of the Stray" was staged in 2022, followed by "The Dazzling Sea of Darkness" in 2023, and "The Dazzling Chaos of the Dead" was staged in two parts in 2024 and 2025.
This fifth play will focus on the most critical moments of the series. The Shibuya Incident arc includes events that are turning points for Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo in both the manga and anime. Especially Gojo's fate and Yuji's tragedy left deep marks on fans' hearts. The play is expected to bring this emotional intensity to the stage.
Jujutsu Kaisen manga has become a phenomenon by selling over 80 million copies since 2018. This dark supernatural world created by Gege Akutami reached an even wider audience with the anime adaptation by MAPPA. The live stage adaptations offer an opportunity to experience the series in a different art form. Especially the way fight scenes are staged and the actors' performances are eagerly awaited by fans.
It has not yet been announced on which dates and in which cities the play will be performed in November, but tickets are expected to sell out quickly. As with previous plays, it is likely to be shown in major Japanese cities, especially Tokyo and Osaka. Additionally, live streaming or recorded viewing options may be offered in some regions. For Jujutsu Kaisen fans, this will be a chance to experience the Shibuya Incident in an entirely different dimension.
