Kaiju Girl Caramelise Anime Starts on July 2: New Promotional Video and Singers Announced

Exciting news for fans of Kaiju Girl Caramelise anime. The official release date of the previously announced adaptation has finally been revealed: July 2, 2026. The anime, along with a new promotional video released on June 7, shared important details about the staff, theme songs, and broadcast schedule.
The production, adapted from Spike Chunsoft's manga of the same name, combines both the monster girl genre and romantic comedy. The story follows high school student Kuroe Akaishi, who can transform into a giant monster, as she tries to balance her love life with this extraordinary power. The original manga started in 2019 in Monthly Comic Blade magazine and quickly gained a cult following.
According to the new video, the anime's opening song is titled "Otome Kaijū" and will be performed by METANICK. The ending song will be "Otome no Honki", created by HoneyWorks in collaboration with HaKoniwaLily. HoneyWorks' popularity especially among young anime viewers and their success in previous romantic comedy projects makes this choice even more meaningful.
In the director's seat is Yoshimitsu Ōhashi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War), while the script is written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama, The Quintessential Quintuplets). Character designs are handled by Miho Tanino (The Ancient Magus' Bride). This team has a proven track record in the romantic comedy genre, indicating that Kaiju Girl Caramelise will be a strong adaptation in terms of both humor and emotional depth.
The anime will air on TV Tokyo and other channels in Japan. Although international streaming rights have not been announced yet, Spike Chunsoft is expected to make deals with platforms such as Crunchyroll or Netflix. Fans can start counting down the days to July 2 to witness Kuroe's adventure of being both a monster and in love.
