Kamen Rider Celebrates Its 55th Anniversary with a Giant Leap: New CG Anime Film Coming from Aniplex and Shirogumi!

The unshakable fortress of the tokusatsu world, Kamen Rider, has made a massive announcement that has fans excited as it prepares to celebrate its 55th anniversary. Toei Company has officially unveiled a new film label called "THE KAMENRIDER ANIMATED", which will shape the animated future of the series. The first fruit of this new initiative will be a completely original CG anime film prepared in collaboration with anime industry giant Aniplex and visual effects master Shirogumi.
The technical power behind this project is already pushing expectations to the peak. Shirogumi proved its worth to the whole world last year by winning an Oscar in the "Best Visual Effects" category for Godzilla Minus One. The studio's 3D expertise in projects like Stand By Me Doraemon and Lupin III: The First will appear in the new Kamen Rider film as a "graphical CG with manga-style visuals" experience. This vision, combined with Aniplex's production experience, aims to make the series a global phenomenon, not just in Japan.
The Kamen Rider universe has been home to dozens of television series and films since it was created by legendary manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori in 1971. The recently released and highly acclaimed Fuuto PI (Fuuto Tantei) anime proved how much potential the series has in an animation format. However, this new film under the "THE KAMENRIDER ANIMATED" label promises to offer an independent, high-budget story that will draw in even viewers who are not familiar with the series at all.
As part of the 55th-anniversary celebrations, different film labels such as "THE KAMEN RIDER CHRONICLE" and "THE KAMEN RIDER PREMIUM" were also announced. This means that in the coming years, we will be satisfied with both the return of nostalgic characters and modern, high-budget cinematic works. Although the film's title or exact release date has not yet been shared, it is certain that this project will be the new face of Kamen Rider in the global anime market. Stay tuned for further developments!
