Kanojo no Tomodachi (Her Friend) Anime Release Date Set: Starting October 2025

Kanojo no Tomodachi (Her Friend) fans, the wait is over! The TV anime adaptation of Jura's manga has been officially announced to air in October 2025. Along with the announcement, the main voice cast, director, first key visual, and official website have also been revealed.
The anime is directed by Takashi Ando, known for his work on Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san. The series composition is written by Yoshiko Nakamura, and character designs are done by Mitsuru Tanabe. The music will be by Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund. The main cast includes familiar voice actors such as Yuka Iguchi, Yoshino Nanjō, and Rie Takahashi.
The original manga is written and illustrated by Jura and has been serialized on Shogakukan's Manga One platform in Japan since 2021. The story centers on the romantic feelings of high school student Asahi for her best friend Miyako. With the rise of the yuri genre in recent years, the manga quickly gained a wide readership. The series has a total of 10 tankōbon volumes and a very dedicated fan base.
Although news of the anime adaptation first came at the end of 2024, the full cast and date details have now been clarified. The first key visual depicts a warm moment between Asahi and Miyako, and a trailer is expected to be released soon. The series will start in October 2025 and will be broadcast with weekly episodes.
