Mafia and Cute Raccoon Together: Katekyo Hitman REBORN! x Rascal Collaboration Begins

We have news full of nostalgia and cuteness for Katekyo Hitman REBORN! fans! The unforgettable mafia-themed series of the Shonen world is joining forces with one of Japan's most iconic characters, Rascal the Raccoon. The online lottery (kuji) event, which started on April 14 via the Kuji Cliff platform, brings the series' beloved characters side-by-side with the cute raccoon, Rascal.
In the special illustrations offered within the scope of the lottery, favorite names such as Tsunayoshi Sawada (Tsuna), Gokudera Hayato, Yamamoto Takeshi, and Hibari Kyoya are seen interacting with Rascal. This campaign, where each lottery ticket costs 770 yen, will continue until May 14, 2026, at 17:59 (JST). The prize pool includes large fabric posters, acrylic stands, keychains, and collectible badges.
Created by Akira Amano and published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between 2004 and 2012, Katekyo Hitman REBORN! was one of the most popular series of its era. Its anime adaptation, which lasted 203 episodes between 2006 and 2010, turned the series into a global phenomenon. Although Rascal the Raccoon is actually a 1977 classic, it is known today in Japan as the "king of collaborations" and keeps its brand alive through partnerships with popular anime series.
Such events are generally used in the anime world to measure how much commercial potential a series still has. Even though more than a decade has passed since the REBORN! anime ended, the fan base continues to make its voice heard on social media for a "remake" or a new season that would cover the remaining chapters of the manga. Considering the anime success of Akira Amano's current work, Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective, this collaboration was enough to excite fans as the series approaches its 20th anniversary.
