Kill Blue Anime Starts April 11: To Be Streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix!

The news the anime world has been eagerly awaiting is finally clear! Kill Blue, one of the most remarkable series from Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in recent years, is saying hello to both television screens and digital platforms on April 11, 2026. According to the official announcement, the series will be presented to international audiences via Crunchyroll simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast. In addition, giant platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten Viki, and Plex have added the series to their streaming lists, making Kill Blue one of the most accessible productions of the season.
Written by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the legendary creator of the Kuroko no Basket (Kuroko's Basketball) series, Kill Blue stands out with its unusual and entertaining premise. The story follows 39-year-old Juzo Ogami, one of Japan's top hitmen, who turns into a 13-year-old middle school student after being stung by a mysterious bee. The series, which began its manga run in 2023 and spanned 115 chapters, quickly gained a large fan base with its structure that blends action and comedy. Ogami struggling with the problems of adolescence while fighting dangers from his past is the most prominent feature that distinguishes the series from its peers.
The team behind the anime is just as exciting as the plot itself. Produced by Studio CUE, the series is directed by Hiro Kaburagi, known for successful works such as Great Pretender and Kimi ni Todoke. The character designs are entrusted to Miho Daidoji, who also worked on Kuroko no Basket. In a statement regarding the anime announcement, Tadatoshi Fujimaki expressed his excitement, saying, "Seeing the old man move and hearing him slurp ramen is like a dream come true. Please look forward to this adventure with a light heart!"
Big surprises also await us on the music front. The opening song of the series, "ATTITUDE," is performed by the world-famous K-pop group aespa, while the ending theme, "KILL SHOT," belongs to the group RIIZE. The voice cast includes names such as Shunsuke Takeuchi (Adult Ogami) and Yuko Sanpei (Child Ogami), as well as popular idol Daisuke Sakuma. If you love both action-packed fight scenes and laugh-out-loud school sitcoms, Kill Blue, which starts on April 11, should definitely be on your list!
