Kill Blue Anime Premieres with Same-Day English Dub Support

The Kill Blue anime delivered a huge surprise to viewers with its grand premiere on Saturday, April 11, 2026. According to information reported by Anime News Network, the series' anime adaptation launched on the same day as its Japanese broadcast, complete with an English dub produced by Bang Zoom! Entertainment. For fans accustomed to dubbed episodes arriving weeks after the original broadcast in the anime world, this "simuldub" move serves as proof of the massive global anticipation surrounding the series.
The name behind the series is Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the creator of the legendary sports manga Kuroko's Basketball. Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between April 2023 and September 2025, Kill Blue quickly reached a wide fan base with its 13-volume adventure. The story follows 39-year-old legendary assassin Juzo Ogami, who undergoes a genetic transformation after being stung by a mysterious bee, turning him into a 13-year-old middle school student. While searching for ways to return to his original form, Ogami must also infiltrate a middle school under his boss's orders and adapt to the chaotic student life there.
On the production side, Studio CUE handles the animation quality, while Yasunori Ide sits in the director's chair. The series' musical identity is also quite remarkable; the opening theme is performed by the popular K-pop group aespa with the song "ATTITUDE," while the ending features the track "KILL SHOT" by the group RIIZE. The production, with Hiro Kaburagi overseeing the script, managed to get full marks from the first episode for the fluidity of its action scenes and its successful translation of Fujimaki's sense of humor to the screen.
This simultaneous broadcast strategy is becoming a new standard for global accessibility in the anime industry. Available to watch worldwide on platforms like Netflix and Crunchyroll, Kill Blue brings together both old-school action lovers and those looking for school-themed comedies. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Juzo will balance middle school exams and teenage problems with the discipline of an assassin. The action is expected to intensify in the coming weeks as other assassin characters from the series are introduced to the story.
