The anime, scheduled to meet audiences in July 2026, is based on the original story by Kei Misawa and the popular manga adaptation by Natsu Mizuno. The story focuses on a "contract marriage" between Elsa, the daughter of a bankrupt noble family, and Julius, an elite duke. The series, which tells the story of how Julius, who coldly told Elsa on their wedding day that he had "no intention of loving her," gradually transforms into an overly protective and affectionate husband, has achieved great success in Japan with over 2 million copies sold.
The production of the anime is handled by the ZERO-G and GRASS studios. Directed by Hitoyuki Matsui, the screenplay adaptation is entrusted to Tomoko Konparu, known for successful works such as Kimi ni Todoke. The lead roles feature giants of the anime world: Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa - Attack on Titan) voices Elsa, while Soma Saito voices Julius. Among fans, it is widely believed that the charismatic voice of Ryohei Kimura, who has just joined the cast, is the perfect choice to reflect the weight of a prince.
