New Cast News for Kimi wo Aisuru Ki wa Nai Anime: The Parnila Siblings Find Their Voices!

New information continues to arrive for the series Kimi wo Aisuru Ki wa Nai to Itta Jiki Koushaku-sama ga Nazeka Dekiai shite kimasu (The Future Duke Who Said He Had No Intention of Loving Me Is Somehow Doting on Me), which is eagerly awaited by fans of romantic anime. At a special panel held during the AnimeJapan event, it was officially announced who will voice the members of the Parnila family, key characters in the series. According to the announcement, Kaito Ishikawa will voice the character Jarmo Parnila, and Chika Anzai will bring his sister, Serafina Parnila, to life.
The names joining the cast are very familiar faces in the anime world. Kaito Ishikawa is remembered for his iconic roles such as Kageyama in the Haikyuu!! series and Genos in One Punch Man. Chika Anzai is known as the energetic Chisato from Lycoris Recoil and the disciplined Reina from Sound! Euphonium. How these two talented individuals will reflect the dynamics of the Parnila siblings in the series is already a matter of great curiosity. As previously announced, the leads are Yui Ishikawa as Elsa and Soma Saito as Julius.
Based on the popular manga series written by Kei Misawa and illustrated by Natsu Mizuno, the production follows the story of Elsa, an impoverished noble, who enters into a contract marriage with Julius, a handsome and elite duke. Although Julius says, "I will never love you" at the beginning of the marriage, his quick shift to an overly protective and affectionate attitude toward Elsa serves as the primary source of the series' humor and romance. The manga, which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide as of February 2026, enjoys massive popularity among fans who love the "cold duke" and "contract marriage" tropes.
Experienced names stand out in the anime's technical staff. The series, produced by Zero-G and Grass studios, is directed by Hitoyuki Matsui. The screenplay adaptation is entrusted to Tomoko Konparu, known for legendary romantic anime such as NANA and Kimi ni Todoke. The series, which is scheduled to begin airing in July 2026, appears to be a candidate for one of the most ambitious romantic productions of the summer season. Fans will have the chance to get a closer look at the visual world of the series with new trailers to be released in the coming months.
