King of Prism and Sharknado 6 on the Same Screen: An Extraordinary Crossover Event is Being Held in Tokyo

The worlds of anime and cinema are preparing to witness an unprecedented collaboration. On June 7, Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas in Tokyo will bring two extreme worlds together: the popular anime film KING OF PRISM -Your Endless Call- and the cult B-movie legend Sharknado 6: The Last Sharknado. Organized by Eiga Natalie, this special event will be held in the "ouen jouei" format, which is quite popular in Japan, allowing fans to shout, use glow sticks, and interact with characters on screen during the film.
The King of Prism series actually originated as a spin-off of the Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live series and became one of the pioneers of modern cheer screening culture in Japan. Brought to life by Tatsunoko Production, the series focuses on the performances of male idols, which are a mix of figure skating and dance called "Prism Show." The series' fanbase is known for turning movie theaters into concert venues. KING OF PRISM -Your Endless Call- Mi~nna Kirameke! Prism☆Tours, which will be shown at this event, stands out as a special production that brings together the series' most beloved moments and performances.
On the other hand, Sharknado 6, which is on the other side of this pairing, is the final installment of a series that has become a phenomenon worldwide with its absurd humor and low-budget action. On one side, glittering idols, and on the other, time-traveling shark tornadoes! This contrast is seen as the event's biggest attraction. Lucky viewers attending the event will be given a special gift that combines these two different universes, titled "Same to Tsumugu Monogatari" (A Story Woven with Sharks).
